East-facing Family Garden
The brief was to transform this previously neglected garden with a dated 80's red brick terrace and central concrete path into a smart, bright, and easy to maintain space.
The clients work from the garden office and wanted to be able to access this in all weathers and also at night. So a curving porcelain path and subtle lighting w
ere key.
A terrace area, perfect for dining al fresco was added and a new deck outside the office catches the last rays of sun, perfect for G&T's or a cup of tea after work.
The planting is low-maintenance, concentrating on foliage rather than flower, including a multi-stem acer and prunus serrula
planted through the deck, ferns, grasses and hostas.
