Large Country Garden
The clients designed their new house with future-proofing built in, to work as their forever home and the garden needed to match that brief.
Porcelain was chosen for low-maintenance paving, mixed with Belgian clay paver detailing. Granite setts pave the entrance area, complemented by a slate water feature.
Lush planting, cared for weekly by their gardener, softens the space and adds year-round colour and interest.
The design comprised a large dining terrace, pathways around the house, a gravelled working area with greenhouse, a rose garden and various seating areas as focal points.
A grid of wildflower squares under multi-stem trees provide shelter and nectar for insects as well as a great view from the house.
The long driveway was also planted up with wildflower turf mixed with bulbs to extend the season.
